The Hong Kong Geriatrics Society
Annual Scientific Meeting 2025
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
On behalf of The Hong Kong Geriatrics Society, it is my great pleasure to welcome you to our Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) 2025. This year’s theme, “Advances in Geriatric Medicine: Innovations, Challenges, and Future Directions,” reflects our commitment to exploring cutting-edge developments, addressing key challenges, and shaping the future of geriatric care.
Building on the success of ASM 2024, which brought together over 1,000 delegates, our meeting this year promises to be particularly valuable, as we bring together distinguished experts and dedicated healthcare professionals to explore advancements in geriatric care. Throughout the program, we will delve into essential topics, including dementia and Alzheimer’s disease management, chronic conditions such as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and Cardiovascular-Kidney-Metabolic syndrome, and heart failure in older adults. Furthermore, a dedicated session on End-of-Life care will offer specialized insights into palliative approaches tailored to geriatric populations, ensuring compassionate and dignified treatment for aging individuals.
This conference serves as a vital platform for healthcare professionals and researchers to exchange knowledge, foster collaborations, and inspire innovations that enhance the well-being of our aging population. Whether you are a seasoned expert or a young professional, your participation will contribute to meaningful discussions that drive progress in geriatric medicine.
It is our honor to have Dr. Libby Ha-Yun LEE, Under-Secretary for Health, Health Bureau Hong Kong, to be our Guest of Honour at the Opening Ceremony. My heartfelt thanks go to our speakers, sponsors, and the tireless organizing team for their unwavering commitment. To our delegates—your passion and dedication are the driving force behind this community’s success. Let us make the most of this opportunity to learn, collaborate, and envision a brighter tomorrow for geriatric care.
